Patty Duke to Keynote ICL 25th Anniversary Gala in 2011

As a special recognition of ICL’s 25th anniversary, actress and outspoken activist Patty Duke will be the keynote speaker during the Giving Voice to Independence gala at the Ritz-Carlton in Battery Park City. Ms. Duke has bipolar disorder and is a strong voice for those with mental illness. Complimenting the evening will be a special video tracing the story arcs of three individuals who have overcome psychiatric disabilities and hurdles to gain control of their lives.
