A Message From the COO

In The Media

Hello All,

I’m writing to wish all of you and your families a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous 2013!  It has been a trying time here at ICL, NYC, and throughout the Nation.  The Nation is facing significant financial stressors with pending spending cuts that will surely impact all of us, we’ve witnessed a string of tragedies, we continue to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy – many of us personally and all of us professionally at ICL:

• ICL Rector Street, main office, continues to be off line, as we’re planning our move back for later this month;
• The ICL Coney Island Child CR is being repaired as it suffered severe storm damage and is expected to be back in late Sprint/early Summer; and
• ICL Milestone continues to host 100+ individuals displaced from area adult homes as it’s progressing with its own closure plans.

And ICL is in the midst of a very significant and impact transition, as an agency, with the pending retirement of our Founder, President and CEO, Dr. Peter Campanelli.

It is no wonder that we are all a bit stretched and stressed.  We all realize how hard you are working and are grateful for your dedication.  ICL has a culture of “yes.”  Please remember our “yes” culture and continue to be responsive to requests from our colleagues, both internally and externally.
It’s also important to acknowledged the “after holiday lull” and to be sensitive to our customers’ needs.  Many struggle during this time of year.  Please be vigilant and, as always, support your consumers and obtain support from your supervisor.

Again, thank you for all you do and Happy New Year!
