The Human condition is written large in the everyday work of ICL, the pain and the suffering; the grace and the humanity. The opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life is a gift given to relatively few, yet it’s how each of us spend our working lives. I know that I am so very grateful for that opportunity.
I am also thankful for being so warmly welcomed by everyone at ICL. I cannot tell you how much your acceptance, cooperation, and generosity of spirits means to me. We have a fantastic team here at ICL and I am proud to part of such a diverse hardworking group.
As we give thanks this year, let us not forget those in the ICL community who are less fortunate and who can certainly benefit from our generosity.

The ICL Child & Family Services Division want to provide one present for each child served in our program. These gifts mean the world to our children and will help brighten the holiday for them and their families. To make a donation, go to www.crowdrise.com/ICLholiday. Have an extra coat in your closet? Bring your clean and gently used coats to the Collection Box in the lobby area at 125 Broad Street, 3rd floor. These coats will be distributed to ICL clients who in need this winter season.
I am thankful to be given the opportunity to lead such a compassionate and capable organization, to the role ICL will play in people getting better, and the chance we have to change public opinion about those in recovery.
Finally, I am thankful for the entire ICL family – from our generous Board members to our devoted staff and the clients we serve every day. You provide the hope, happiness and inspiration that makes me so grateful to be a part of this wonderful organization.
