Josephine Leal
Senior Vice President of Enterprise Applications & Health IT
With more than 15 years of experience in health care, Josephine Leal brings a blend of clinical insight and technical leadership to her role as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Applications and Health IT. She began her career in clinical settings, where she developed a deep understanding of medical data and patient care workflows — knowledge that has since shaped her approach to health care technology.
In her most recent roles at ELLKAY and Stellar Health, Josephine successfully led complex clinical and billing data transformation and archiving initiatives for several Newsweek-ranked hospitals across the United States. Her expertise lies in aligning enterprise technology with frontline care, ensuring that electronic medical record (EMR) systems and digital workflows support — not hinder — clinicians in delivering high-quality care.
Since joining ICL in October 2023, Josephine has driven major improvements in IT operations, including the successful implementation of a new EHR system, the expansion of IT oversight to previously unmanaged applications, and the development of internal policies that strengthened compliance. Under her leadership, support response and resolution times have significantly improved, and a culture of customer service has been embedded within the IT department.
Her leadership philosophy centers on integrating emotional intelligence, relationship-building, and conflict management into technical environments. She is known for transforming defensive situations into collaborative partnerships, fostering strategic engagement, and guiding teams through meaningful process change and adoption.
Josephine’s work continues to bridge the gap between technology and care, ensuring that innovation always serves the people at the heart of health care.
