Mega Contracting Group was a generous lead sponsor of the 2023 Spring Gala of Institute for Community Living (ICL), a premier provider of whole health care for children, adults, and families living with serious mental health challenges, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. The event was held on May 17 at 583 Park Avenue.

Support from Mega helped to make the gala ICL’s most successful benefit to date. ICL raised mission-critical funds for its comprehensive housing, health, and recovery services. The festive evening featured a cocktail reception, dinner, auction, and a moving program.

“New Yorkers with the most significant mental and behavioral health challenges are improving their wellbeing thanks to whole health care from ICL,” said Jody Rudin, President and CEO of ICL. “We are deeply grateful to Mega for sponsoring our Spring Gala, and for their commitment to our life-changing services in shelters, supportive housing, and community-based programs.”

The event was attended by over 320 guests, including Dr. Ann Marie Sullivan, Commissioner of the New York State Office of Mental Health, who accepted the Visionary Leader Award on behalf of Governor Kathy Hochul. NYS Office of Mental Health Senior Deputy Commissioner Robert Meyers was also honored for his leadership in expanding mental health resources in New York. 25 ICL staff members were acknowledged as recipients of the 2022 the Employee Excellence Award for their tireless efforts to help New Yorkers get better.
